Tyler Blackburn Raises Money for Polished Man Campaign
Stars of Freeform’s hit TV show, “Pretty Little Liars,” are doing much more than just acting and running from creepy stalkers known as “A.” Tyler Blackburn recently teamed up with YGAP, a not-for-profit organization, to raise money for Polished Man.
Polished Man is a campaign to “raise money for the one in five children who experience physical or sexual violence before the age of 18,” and “It starts with painting a fingernail. That nail leads to a conversation. That conversation inspires a donation. That donation allows for prevention and protection.” The issue of sexual violence is extremely devastating and pressing, and Blackburn is helping to pave the way to a world without these horrific incidents.
Tyler Blackburn, known to many as the sweet and tech-savvy Caleb Rivers, recently took to Instagram to ask his fans for their support and donations in order to aid the Polished Man campaign. Blackburn posted his own painted nail in order to promote the charity and encouraged followers to also recognize the worthy cause with the caption “I’m helping raise funds and awareness to support the 1 in 5 children effected by violence before the age of 18. Click on my link to donate to the cause! #PolishedMan.”
The Polished Man Campaign funds “are channelled into trauma recovery and trauma prevention programs for children who have suffered or are at risk of suffering violence globally.” Blackburn has a wonderful heart and is promoting important changes in the world. His successful campaign and persistence at helping those in need should definitely not be overlooked, and we thank him for everything he has done.
