Ty Cobb was an American professional baseball player. He was an outfield in the MLB. He was nicknamed “The Georgia Peach.”
He was the son of Amanda C. and William Herschel Cobb, a state senator. Ty had five children with his first wife Charlotte Marion “Charlie” Lombard.
He was said to have been a distant cousin of professional baseball player Johnny Mize.
Ty’s paternal grandfather was John Franklin Cobb (the son of William Alfred Cobb and Charlotte Henson). John was born in North Carolina. William was the son of John Paul Cobb and Lydia Keys. Charlotte was the daughter of Daniel H. Henson and Eleanor Fariba Pool/Poole.
