Timothe Chalamet Breaks Silence on Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez Feud Rumor

Publish date: 2024-06-25

Timothée Chalamet has put the Kylie Jenner/Selena Gomez drama rumors to bed. The Wonka star addressed the Golden Globes fan theory while out in Beverly Hills last night, after a TMZ photographer asked him about it multiple times.

The pap asked Chalamet point-blank about online speculation that his girlfriend, Jenner, had blocked Gomez from getting a photo with him at the Globes on Sunday night. (The Only Murders in the Building star was his castmate in 2019’s A Rainy Day in New York.) Chalamet initially ignored the line of questioning, but then chose to clear up the drama.

Asked if he and Gomez were “cool,” Chalamet replied, “Yeah, of course.” When asked if Jenner and Gomez had any “beef,” he also said no, adding, “We’re all good.” So there it is, straight from Chalamet’s mouth.

A source close to Gomez also spoke to People yesterday, to shut down the drama rumors. “She was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie,” the source said, responding to theories sparked by video of Gomez, Taylor Swift, and actor Keleigh Sperry in heated conversation. The insider added that Gomez “never even saw or spoke to” Jenner and Chalamet at the Globes.

Jenner and Gomez also shut down speculation about drama between them in February 2023. At the time, some TikTokers had theorized that Jenner was making fun of Gomez’s eyebrows with Hailey Bieber, who is married to Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, on Instagram.

Jenner commented on TikTok, “This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! U guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly.”

Gomez replied to Jenner’s comment, echoing the sentiment: “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
