Camila Cabello releases Daddy Yankee remix of 'Havana'

It’s the one you’ve all been waiting for – Camila Cabello has finally dropped the ‘Havana’ remix which features Daddy Yankee.

Taking to Twitter, Camila teased fans that a #HavanaSurprise was on its way. Eagle eyed fans were quick to notice that the capital letters in the tweet spelled out YANKEE, which caused mass excitement.

A few hours later, the Daddy Yankee remix was unveiled and it is pure fuego. Whilst the chorus remains in English, Camila delivers the rest of the song in Spanish. Daddy Yankee also adds a Spanish rap verse, which transforms the song from the original Young Thug version.

Camila has already showcased a little of her Spanish skills in the past, from her ‘Hey Ma’ collaboration with Pitbull and J Balvin, to nailing ‘Despacito’ on Capital FM. However, she completely raises the bar on the ‘Havana’ remix and we love how she continues to represent her Cuban roots with pride.

The ‘Havana’ remix, in addition to the new vertical video, is only set to further enhance the song’s success around the globe. As ‘Havana’ currently sits at number one in the UK and number two in the US, the track has also been certified 2x Platinum in Australia.

In addition to chart success, Camila recently won big at the Los 40 Music Awards. She took home the 40 Music Award for ‘Mejor artista LO+40’ (best artist LO+40).

Camila could also win another award tonight as she is nominated for Best Pop at the MTV EMA, which takes place at London’s SSE Arena. Whether she wins the gong or not, she is one of the artists who will be delivering a world class performance on the EMA stage.
